An old Jewish proverb states "Over a bottle of wine many a friend is made."
Laurie Forster has made this proverb her mission statement and the guiding principle behind The Wine Coach® Women . . .
The Wine Coach® Women was created to give women an attitude-free environment to learn about wine with an opportunity to develop friendships and support each other along the way. Founded in 2004, this wine tasting group has been a smashing hit with women at various Maryland locations, including the Eastern Shore, Annapolis and Baltimore.
Each event is limited in size to foster connections and create an intimate environment. Each event is held with unique themes including: cooking lessons, craft projects, concerts and winery trips. Private Women events are also available by appointment.
Join us at an event in Annapolis, Baltimore or the Eastern Shore!
Here's some of what people are saying about The Wine Coach® Women:
Because it is all women, I felt safe going there by myself." says Laurie Katerle. Katerle moved to Baltimore from Rochester to work with Wegman's and wanted to meet new people and expand her knowledge of wine. Katerle says she used to feel intimidated in wine shops, but no more. Through Forster's Cork Chicks events she's learned basic pronunciations, which flavors she likes and dislikes, and how to pair wines with food . . ." ~Baltimore Magazine September 2006, from Breaking The Glass Ceiling by Christianna McCausland
"Ever get perplexed by a wine list, befuddled by the litany of bottles on the shelves? What goes well with meat? With fish? With cheese? Are you a red person or a white person or both? Not to fear. Thought the world of wine is huge and confusing, Laurie Forster is here to help . . .Forster, who regularly leads wine tasting groups with her businesses The Wine Coach® Women and The Wine Coach® Tours is able to spotlight everything from Chianti to Cabernet for the novice to the sophisticated collector."
