Sips of the Week

Angela Richter, Beer Educator from World of Beer joined us to talk about some great brews for spring. 1.      Weihenstephaner Krystalweizen (Germany)   Weihenstephaner is the oldest brewery in the world. A filtered version of a Hefeweizen, showcasing bright and clear bodies from pale straw to light amber. Overall character will be more clean and softer on the palate, and the common banana and phenols will be more subtle. 2.      Brewer’s Art Resurrection Ale (MD) During the fermentation of the first batch of this Abbey-style ale, the yeast «died» and was «resurrected» by brewer Chris Cashell. Made with five types of barley malt and lots of sugar, this beer is quite flavorful, without being too sweet. 7%abv 3.      Hop Stoopid Ale (CA) For those mornings when you have to cut right to the chase, this is the one. Sure to blast through just about anything still lingering from the night before, this mouthful of Hops and huge rich Malt has a guarantee built right into the name!
