Who is Laurie Forster?
Laurie Forster is an award-winning sommelier, author, radio personality and comedian. Her edgy approach to demystifying wine has caught the eye of major networks, corporate meeting planners and high profile fundraisers around the country. Audiences connect with her down to earth “Jersey Girl” approach and find it a breath of fresh air in the often stuffy world of wine.
Forster is the host of The Sipping Point radio show and her mobile application, “The Wine Coach,” was listed as one of the Top 8 Wine Apps in Wine Enthusiast magazine. Her award-winning book The Sipping Point: A Crash Course in Wine has been featured in publications across the country, including the Washington Post, Wine Enthusiast and FoxBusiness.com.
A former software sales executive, Laurie’s wine career began in Manhattan where she studied with the American Sommelier Association to obtain her certificate in Viticulture and Vinification. Laurie has since earned an Advanced Certificate with Merit from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET). She has also trained with the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley.

Where do I start? We would not have the success we had with our virtual wine event series if it wasn’t for Laurie. I was hesitant to think we could run a successful virtual wine tasting event without the right personality. Any doubt I had went out the window immediately after meeting Laurie. Laurie recently facilitated a virtual wine tasting that we hosted as a thank you for some of our clients. It was such a great event! I attended a live event with Laurie and was so impressed, I asked her to work with me on, now, two virtual events. Each of my events were a bit different. The first was a holiday recognition for a team. The second was a large fundraiser for a non profit. She was tremendous! Her expertise is unquestionable. I highly recommend a wine event with Laurie Forster, The Wine Coach. I had over 30 folks in attendance virtually and Laurie kept them entertained and happy while educating at the same time. She beautifully fielded the "rapid-fire" questions coming from the guests at the end of her presentation. Like the professional that she is, Laurie wowed them start to finish. Kudos! My guests are asking, " When is the next one?" Laurie left them wanting more! Guests in attendance ranged from 25 to 85 years of age! So, I am confident she can handle any group....with ease!
